The OCEAN-PRO Dive Team welcomes all guests who want to enjoy the
world famous South Ari Atoll dive sites. You will find a very spacious diving
school with all the amenities a diver can ask for. No guest carries his/her equipment
to the diving boat, 6 days non limit diving without visiting a dive site twice
is normal and small repairs of equipment is also part of our service.
The OCEAN-PRO Dive Team at Lily Beach Resort & Spa is a Dive Centre under Swiss management and we offer the whole range of PADI courses from beginner up to Dive Master Level plus a wide range of specialty courses. Nitrox 32% for free! The big and protected lagoon at Lily Beach Resort, with its clear and calm waters and the superb house reef of Huvahendhoo are ideal for conducting beginner courses. Siegi and his team of PADI instructors speak and teach in English, German, French, Italian, Japanese and Dhivehi. The 2 classrooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV-video sets and all PADI standard education facilities. Snorkelling equipment is part of the Resort "Platinum Plan” package and can be obtained free of charge from the Resort Water Sports Centre, but it is also possible to rent equipment from the dive centre. The house reef at Huvahendhoo is perfect for beginners as well as experienced snorkelers. It has 8 entry/exit points, each marked for your convenience. On the reef you can see, stingrays, eagle rays, morays, turtles, lion fishes, parrot fishes, scorpion fishes, frog fishes, cleaner stations, reef sharks just to mention a few. During the southwest monsoon season (May-Nov) we also sometimes see mantas and with a bit of luck even whale sharks! Also, try a "Night snorkel" by our wonderful and easy house reef, just 10m away from the dive centre. You can hire lamps from the dive centre. |
DIVERS
NIGHT, every Monday at 21.30 at Spirits Bar.
This very popular evening show, presented by the OCEAN-PRO Dive Team, consists of an introduction of the dive team, information about the diving and snorkelling around Huvahendhoo, a “graduation ceremony”, and finally features the OCEAN-PRO Video, filmed by OCEAN-PRO instructors, on a big screen. This exciting land and underwater video, portrays Male’ the Capital Island, the LILY BEACH RESORT & SPA, and the beautiful marine environment of the MALDIVES. After the video, the Dive Team is present for a chat or to answer any question about diving or snorkelling. It is informative and entertaining, and of interest to both divers and non-divers!School The Dive School shop opens daily from: 8.30 – 8.50 am 2.00 – 2.20 pm and 5.30 – 6.30 pm For check-in, information and equipment rental. In our retail shop we sell diving gear, polo & t-shirts, videos and more. The dive school is also a meeting point for divers and non-divers. e Boat and Dive Schedule Every day we offer Morning and Afternoon trips to at least 2 - 4 different dive sites. For more distant dives we also regularly schedule Full Day Trips and 2 Tank Dives Trips. Early morning dives and boat night dives can also be organized on request. Every day we try to provide at least 1 boat with easy dives for beginners, and 1 boat for experienced divers. The average number of divers per boat is about 10 (max. 16) and all dives are supervised by a dive master or an instructor. Less experienced divers will be guided in small groups at no extra charge. Our house reef can be dived from 6am to 8:30pm, just make arrangements with the dive team. If needed, we also have tank carry service for your house reef dives. sites / Dive Trips / Dive Conditions and Dive Seasons We have more than 50 dive sites in our area, from easy to difficult levels, with or without current, thilas, giris, farus or outside reefs like channel dives, and wrecks. |
